Terms and Conditions

The registration fee is €160 per person. The fee includes participation in the event, beverages (water, tea, coffee), snacks, as well as the Pre-Milonga and After-Milonga. The fee does not include participants’ travel or accommodation expenses.

REGISTRATION

Participation in the Mare Marathon is only possible for registered participants. For Thursday evening (Pre-Milonga) and Sunday evening (After-Milonga), non-participants may possibly have the opportunity to purchase tickets at the door.

Registration for the marathon can be submitted individually or as a couple using the registration form published on the website. The information provided by the participant must be up to date and accurate. The participant bears sole responsibility for any consequences resulting from false or inaccurate information.

This is a “role-balanced” event. Therefore, the organizers pay attention to maintaining a balance between leaders and followers. A limited number of dancers who are able to perform both roles may be admitted. Due to the limited number of places available for the marathon, the organizers reserve the right to select participants. The organizers do not provide reasons for admission or refusal.

Your registration is personal and non-transferable. The information provided by participants will be verified on the day of the event.

PAYMENT

The registration fee must be paid within 2 weeks (14 days) of receiving the registration confirmation. If admission is granted less than 14 days before the start of the event, the registration fee must be paid no later than one day before the event begins.

The organizers reserve the right to place the participant back on the waiting list or cancel their participation if the registration fee has not been received by the date specified in the confirmation email.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Until March 1, 2027 – 100% refund of the amount paid, less a €20 handling fee.

From March 1, 2027 onwards – no refund.

Transaction fees, including any exchange rate differences, are non-refundable in all cases.

Unforeseeable accidents, as well as illness or professional obligations, do not constitute grounds for a refund after March 1, 2027.

In the event of non-participation, payments made cannot be transferred to a future edition of the event.

INSURANCE

The organizers do not provide insurance for participants. Participants are advised to take out appropriate insurance at their own expense for participation in the event.

SECURITY

The organizers accept no responsibility for belongings left unattended and/or inadequately secured by participants during the event. However, the organizers will make every effort to provide participants with the highest possible level of security.

FORCE MAJEURE

The organizers accept no responsibility for events arising from force majeure.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT

In exceptional circumstances where holding the event is impossible or significantly impeded, the organizers reserve the right to cancel the event. The participant will receive a refund of the registration fee paid for the event, less any fees charged by the online payment provider. The organizers will not reimburse any other costs already incurred.

The organizers also reserve the right to make changes to the event program, venue and/or date.

CONSENT TO PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEO RECORDINGS

Photography and video recording of participants are expressly permitted at this event. By submitting their registration, participants consent to the publication of photographs and videos taken during the event. Photographs and videos may be published on social media and on the website.

GDPR

European data protection legislation (GDPR) applies.

The organizers of this event are responsible for the processing of your personal data. All data collected through the registration form is used exclusively for processing registration for this event and will be treated as strictly confidential.
